Eligibility, application components, and instructions are outlined below. We encourage interested and qualified undergraduate and graduate students to review the details carefully and begin preparing their materials early.
Eligibility and Application
The program is open to:
U.S. undergraduate and graduate students majoring in STEM disciplines (e.g., industrial engineering, computer science, data science, systems engineering).
Students with at least a 3.0 GPA and a demonstrated interest in digital technologies, logistics, and supply chains.
Applicants who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
How To Apply
Applications are submitted through the NSF ETAP platform. Applicants must include:
A one-page personal statement describing their interest in digital twin technologies and international research.
A current CV or résumé.
The call for applications opens November 1, 2025 and closes January 15, 2026.
Interviews and final selections will be completed by April. Selected students will begin pre-departure orientation activities in May.
